Early Larger Paintings

The first 8 paintings were made in 1992 in a small apartment at Lincoln Place Apartments in Venice, California. This was my first attempt at painting since taking an oil painting class at Santa Monica College.

I stuck to one size- 54 x 54 inches, hung the unfinished canvas next to the T. V. in the living room. My room mate at the time was my guitar player Nick Chavez. The rest of the pieces on this page were done in my large studio at S.M.C.D.A.A.'s second location ( located across the street from the 18th Street Arts Complex in Santa Monica. )
