David Hinnebusch Fine Art contact email: info@hfilms.com If you want to talk to me about one of my paintings then ... see the box to the right? Just ask me a question and we can chat live about my art. I would love to talk to you about a specific painting and answer any questions you may have. NOTE ABOUT MY WORK FOR 1st TIME BUYERS: Most of my work is punk rock, meaning I am more interested in the process of creating than the need for everything to be perfect before I start making art. This means that I will paint on most anything, if I need to paint. Wood, old canvases; I have even painted on cardboard, foam-core, Coroplast (the plastic signs you see around town pointing to film shoots). I use broken glass, Plexiglas, old posters, I make bond prints and glue them onto brand new canvases and then rip them off. On occasion I even use house paint as a primer to get started. With regard to color, I use good acrylic paints. I prefer Golden Acrylics, but have also used other brands from Jerry's Artarama. I also use markers and water- color pastels, and Sharpie markers. As for the images, I am still taking my own pictures and though I will be soon having everything professionally photographed, so far, I can not promise you exact color matching. If you are a first time buyer, I would recommend you talk to my collectors. Most of them love the rawness, the style, the energy. I did sell a painting, a great nude self- portrait, to a collector where she asked me to but some clothes on the painting, which, for the money, I did. |
